The short version: Breathe is private by default. Your personal session data is stored exclusively on your device, and we do not require any personal information to use the app. Anonymous usage data is collected solely to help us improve the experience.
Information Collection and Use
The app does not require users to create an account or provide personal information to use its core features. Some anonymous usage information may be collected through analytics tools to help improve the app experience.
The information stored on your device includes:

Anonymous app usage and breathing session data is collected through Firebase for Google Analytics. This information is non-identifiable and helps us understand how users interact with Breathe so we can continue to improve it.
Diagnostic information, such as device model and crash reports, may also be collected to maintain app stability.
How We Use Your Data
Your session data is used solely to power the features of the Breathe app on your device. We do not use your personal data for advertising or profiling, and we never sell it to third parties.
We cannot see your session data. Because your breathing history and preferences are stored locally on your device, we are technically unable to access or process them.
Data Storage
All personal session data is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. No session data is transmitted to our servers or any cloud service.
We do not operate any servers that store your personal breathing logs. This ensures that your private moments remain private.
Data Retention & Deletion
How long is your data stored? Your personal session history and preferences are retained on your device for as long as you have the app installed. Because this data never leaves your device, we do not retain any of it on our servers.
Anonymous Analytics: Technical usage data collected via Firebase is retained for a limited period (in accordance with Google Analytics' default retention policies) before being automatically deleted. This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally.
How to delete your data: You can permanently delete all your locally stored data at any time using either of these methods:
Reset via Settings
Open the app and go to Settings → Manage Data → Reset. This will instantly and permanently erase all your session history and preferences from your device.
Uninstall the app
Uninstalling Breathe from your device permanently removes all locally stored data associated with the app. No data remains on your device after uninstallation.
Deletion is permanent. Once deleted — either via the reset option or by uninstalling — your data cannot be recovered, as it was never stored anywhere other than your own device.
Third-Party Services
Breathe uses trusted third-party services to ensure stability, analyze aggregate usage patterns, and provide core functionality. These services may collect certain technical identifiers (such as your device's Advertising ID or unique installation ID) in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Note on Analytics: Breathing session data and app usage metrics are collected anonymously by Firebase for Google Analytics to help us refine the user experience.
Children's Privacy
Breathe does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take necessary actions.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top.
You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
