The Pocket Promise: Your financial data is yours alone. We don't have servers, we don't have your passwords, and we can't see your transactions. Everything stays securely on your device.
Information Stays on Your Device
Pocket is designed to function entirely offline. While we refer to "data collection" for clarity, it is important to understand that we do not collect, see, or transmit your data to any server. Every piece of information you enter is stored exclusively and securely on your own device.

SMS & Smart Permissions
On Android, Pocket offers an optional SMS Permission to auto-detect digital transactions from your bank messages.
Zero-Server SMS Processing: When you grant SMS permission, Pocket processes bank messages locally on your device to extract transaction details. These messages are never uploaded, shared, or stored outside your device.
You can enable or disable this automation at any time through the app settings or your device's permission manager.
On-Device Intelligence
Pocket uses advanced algorithms to provide you with insights into your spending habits. All of this intelligence happens locally on your device.
Smart Features: Features like amount suggestions, recurring transaction detection, spending spike alerts, and category predictions are powered by your device's own processing power. Your transaction history never leaves your phone to generate these insights.
Since we have zero access to your data, it is impossible for us to use it for advertising, profile building, or selling to any third party.
Storage & Security
All data is encrypted and stored in a secure local database on your smartphone. Because there is no central database or cloud account, your data is as secure as your physical device.
We recommend using device-level security (FaceID, Fingerprint, or Passcode) to protect access to your device and, by extension, your Pocket data.
Data Retention & Deletion
Your data stays on your device as long as the app is installed. You are in full control of its lifecycle.
In-App Reset
Go to Settings → Danger Zone → Reset All Data. This immediately and permanently erases all records from your device's storage.
Uninstalling
Standard uninstallation via your OS will remove all local files and databases associated with Pocket.
Warning: Deletion is final. Because we don't back up your data to our servers, we cannot recover it for you if it is deleted.
Third-Party Services
Pocket does not include trackers or third-party analytics SDKs. However, the app stores (Google Play and Apple App Store) may collect basic usage metrics (like installs and crashes) as per their respective privacy policies.
